GEN3C: 3D-Informed World-Consistent Video Generation with Precise Camera Control

展开摘要

We present GEN3C, a generative video model with precise Camera Control and temporal 3D Consistency. Prior video models already generate realistic videos, but they tend to leverage little 3D information, leading to inconsistencies, such as objects popping in and out of existence. Camera control, if implemented at all, is imprecise, because camera parameters are mere inputs to the neural network which must then infer how the video depends on the camera. In contrast, GEN3C is guided by a 3D cache: point clouds obtained by predicting the pixel-wise depth of seed images or previously generated frames. When generating the next frames, GEN3C is conditioned on the 2D renderings of the 3D cache with the new camera trajectory provided by the user. Crucially, this means that GEN3C neither has to remember what it previously generated nor does it have to infer the image structure from the camera pose. The model, instead, can focus all its generative power on previously unobserved regions, as well as advancing the scene state to the next frame. Our results demonstrate more precise camera control than prior work, as well as state-of-the-art results in sparse-view novel view synthesis, even in challenging settings such as driving scenes and monocular dynamic video.

From Words to Structured Visuals: A Benchmark and Framework for Text-to-Diagram Generation and Editing

展开摘要

We introduce the task of text-to-diagram generation, which focuses on creating structured visual representations directly from textual descriptions. Existing approaches in text-to-image and text-to-code generation lack the logical organization and flexibility needed to produce accurate, editable diagrams, often resulting in outputs that are either unstructured or difficult to modify. To address this gap, we introduce DiagramGenBenchmark, a comprehensive evaluation framework encompassing eight distinct diagram categories, including flowcharts, model architecture diagrams, and mind maps. Additionally, we present DiagramAgent, an innovative framework with four core modules--Plan Agent, Code Agent, Check Agent, and Diagram-to-Code Agent--designed to facilitate both the generation and refinement of complex diagrams. Our extensive experiments, which combine objective metrics with human evaluations, demonstrate that DiagramAgent significantly outperforms existing baseline models in terms of accuracy, structural coherence, and modifiability. This work not only establishes a foundational benchmark for the text-to-diagram generation task but also introduces a powerful toolset to advance research and applications in this emerging area.

展开摘要

In extended reality (XR), generating full-body motion of the users is important to understand their actions, drive their virtual avatars for social interaction, and convey a realistic sense of presence. While prior works focused on spatially sparse and always-on input signals from motion controllers, many XR applications opt for vision-based hand tracking for reduced user friction and better immersion. Compared to controllers, hand tracking signals are less accurate and can even be missing for an extended period of time. To handle such unreliable inputs, we present Rolling Prediction Model (RPM), an online and real-time approach that generates smooth full-body motion from temporally and spatially sparse input signals. Our model generates 1) accurate motion that matches the inputs (i.e., tracking mode) and 2) plausible motion when inputs are missing (i.e., synthesis mode). More importantly, RPM generates seamless transitions from tracking to synthesis, and vice versa. To demonstrate the practical importance of handling noisy and missing inputs, we present GORP, the first dataset of realistic sparse inputs from a commercial virtual reality (VR) headset with paired high quality body motion ground truth. GORP provides >14 hours of VR gameplay data from 28 people using motion controllers (spatially sparse) and hand tracking (spatially and temporally sparse). We benchmark RPM against the state of the art on both synthetic data and GORP to highlight how we can bridge the gap for real-world applications with a realistic dataset and by handling unreliable input signals. Our code, pretrained models, and GORP dataset are available in the project webpage.

展开摘要

Despite remarkable progress in image generation models, generating realistic hands remains a persistent challenge due to their complex articulation, varying viewpoints, and frequent occlusions. We present FoundHand, a large-scale domain-specific diffusion model for synthesizing single and dual hand images. To train our model, we introduce FoundHand-10M, a large-scale hand dataset with 2D keypoints and segmentation mask annotations. Our insight is to use 2D hand keypoints as a universal representation that encodes both hand articulation and camera viewpoint. FoundHand learns from image pairs to capture physically plausible hand articulations, natively enables precise control through 2D keypoints, and supports appearance control. Our model exhibits core capabilities that include the ability to repose hands, transfer hand appearance, and even synthesize novel views. This leads to zero-shot capabilities for fixing malformed hands in previously generated images, or synthesizing hand video sequences. We present extensive experiments and evaluations that demonstrate state-of-the-art performance of our method.

展开摘要

Text-to-image (T2I) generation has made significant advances in recent years, but challenges still remain in the generation of perceptual artifacts, misalignment with complex prompts, and safety. The prevailing approach to address these issues involves collecting human feedback on generated images, training reward models to estimate human feedback, and then fine-tuning T2I models based on the reward models to align them with human preferences. However, while existing reward fine-tuning methods can produce images with higher rewards, they may change model behavior in unexpected ways. For example, fine-tuning for one quality aspect (e.g., safety) may degrade other aspects (e.g., prompt alignment), or may lead to reward hacking (e.g., finding a way to increase rewards without having the intended effect). In this paper, we propose Focus-N-Fix, the first region-aware fine-tuning method that trains models to correct only previously problematic image regions. The resulting fine-tuned model generates images with the same high-level structure as the original model but shows significant improvements in regions where the original model was deficient in safety (over-sexualization and violence), plausibility, or other criteria. Our experiments demonstrate that Focus-N-Fix improves these localized quality aspects with little or no degradation to others and typically imperceptible changes in the rest of the image. 展开摘要

3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) has enabled various applications in 3D scene representation and novel view synthesis due to its efficient rendering capabilities. However, 3DGS demands significant GPU memory, limiting its use on devices with restricted computational resources. Previous approaches have focused on pruning less important Gaussians, effectively compressing 3DGS but often requiring a fine-tuning stage and lacking adaptability for the specific memory needs of different devices. In this work, we present an elastic inference method for 3DGS. Given an input for the desired model size, our method selects and transforms a subset of Gaussians, achieving substantial rendering performance without additional fine-tuning. We introduce a tiny learnable module that controls Gaussian selection based on the input percentage, along with a transformation module that adjusts the selected Gaussians to complement the performance of the reduced model. Comprehensive experiments on ZipNeRF, MipNeRF and Tanks&Temples scenes demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. Code will be publicly available.

展开摘要

Although remarkable progress has been achieved in video generation, synthesizing physically plausible human actions remains an unresolved challenge, especially when addressing fine-grained semantics and complex temporal dynamics. For instance, generating gymnastics routines such as "two turns on one leg with the free leg optionally below horizontal" poses substantial difficulties for current video generation methods, which often fail to produce satisfactory results. To address this, we propose FinePhys, a Fine-grained human action generation framework incorporating Physics for effective skeletal guidance. Specifically, FinePhys first performs online 2D pose estimation and then accomplishes dimension lifting through in-context learning. Recognizing that such data-driven 3D pose estimations may lack stability and interpretability, we incorporate a physics-based module that re-estimates motion dynamics using Euler-Lagrange equations, calculating joint accelerations bidirectionally across the temporal dimension. The physically predicted 3D poses are then fused with data-driven poses to provide multi-scale 2D heatmap-based guidance for the video generation process. Evaluated on three fine-grained action subsets from FineGym (FX-JUMP, FX-TURN, and FX-SALTO), FinePhys significantly outperforms competitive baselines. Comprehensive qualitative results further demonstrate FinePhys's ability to generate more natural and plausible fine-grained human actions.

展开摘要

In image generation, Schrodinger Bridge (SB)-based methods theoretically enhance the efficiency and quality compared to the diffusion models by finding the least costly path between two distributions. However, they are computationally expensive and time-consuming when applied to complex image data. The reason is that they focus on fitting globally optimal paths in high-dimensional spaces, directly generating images as next step on the path using complex networks through self-supervised training, which typically results in a gap with the global optimum. Meanwhile, most diffusion models are in the same path subspace generated by weights f_A(t) and f_B(t), as they follow the paradigm (x_t = f_A(t)x_ Img + f_B(t)epsilon). To address the limitations of SB-based methods, this paper proposes for the first time to find local Diffusion Schrodinger Bridges (LDSB) in the diffusion path subspace, which strengthens the connection between the SB problem and diffusion models. Specifically, our method optimizes the diffusion paths using Kolmogorov-Arnold Network (KAN), which has the advantage of resistance to forgetting and continuous output. The experiment shows that our LDSB significantly improves the quality and efficiency of image generation using the same pre-trained denoising network and the KAN for optimising is only less than 0.1MB. The FID metric is reduced by more than 15%, especially with a reduction of 48.50% when NFE of DDIM is 5 for the CelebA dataset. Code is available at https://github.com/PerceptionComputingLab/LDSB.

Few-shot Implicit Function Generation via Equivariance

Suizhi Huang, Xingyi Yang, Hongtao Lu, Xinchao Wang

展开摘要

Implicit Neural Representations (INRs) have emerged as a powerful framework for representing continuous signals. However, generating diverse INR weights remains challenging due to limited training data. We introduce Few-shot Implicit Function Generation, a new problem setup that aims to generate diverse yet functionally consistent INR weights from only a few examples. This is challenging because even for the same signal, the optimal INRs can vary significantly depending on their initializations. To tackle this, we propose EquiGen, a framework that can generate new INRs from limited data. The core idea is that functionally similar networks can be transformed into one another through weight permutations, forming an equivariance group. By projecting these weights into an equivariant latent space, we enable diverse generation within these groups, even with few examples. EquiGen implements this through an equivariant encoder trained via contrastive learning and smooth augmentation, an equivariance-guided diffusion process, and controlled perturbations in the equivariant subspace. Experiments on 2D image and 3D shape INR datasets demonstrate that our approach effectively generates diverse INR weights while preserving their functional properties in few-shot scenarios. Fancy123: One Image to High-Quality 3D Mesh Generation via Plug-and-Play Deformation

展开摘要

Generating 3D meshes from a single image is an important but ill-posed task. Existing methods mainly adopt 2D multiview diffusion models to generate intermediate multiview images, and use the Large Reconstruction Model (LRM) to create the final meshes. However, the multiview images exhibit local inconsistencies, and the meshes often lack fidelity to the input image or look blurry. We propose Fancy123, featuring two enhancement modules and an unprojection operation to address the above three issues, respectively. The appearance enhancement module deforms the 2D multiview images to realign misaligned pixels for better multiview consistency. The fidelity enhancement module deforms the 3D mesh to match the input image. The unprojection of the input image and deformed multiview images onto LRM's generated mesh ensures high clarity, discarding LRM's predicted blurry-looking mesh colors. Extensive qualitative and quantitative experiments verify Fancy123's SoTA performance with significant improvement. Also, the two enhancement modules are plug-and-play and work at inference time, allowing seamless integration into various existing single-image-to-3D methods. 展开摘要

Medical vision-language models often struggle with generating accurate quantitative measurements in radiology reports, leading to hallucinations that undermine clinical reliability. We introduce FactCheXcker, a modular framework that de-hallucinates radiology report measurements by leveraging an improved query-code-update paradigm. Specifically, FactCheXcker employs specialized modules and the code generation capabilities of large language models to solve measurement queries generated based on the original report. After extracting measurable findings, the results are incorporated into an updated report. We evaluate FactCheXcker on endotracheal tube placement, which accounts for an average of 78% of report measurements, using the MIMIC-CXR dataset and 11 medical report-generation models. Our results show that FactCheXcker significantly reduces hallucinations, improves measurement precision, and maintains the quality of the original reports. Specifically, FactCheXcker improves the performance of all 11 models and achieves an average improvement of 135.0% in reducing measurement hallucinations measured by mean absolute error. 展开摘要

Diffusion models are proficient at generating high-quality images. They are however effective only when operating at the resolution used during training. Inference at a scaled resolution leads to repetitive patterns and structural distortions. Retraining at higher resolutions quickly becomes prohibitive. Thus, methods enabling pre-existing diffusion models to operate at flexible test-time resolutions are highly desirable. Previous works suffer from frequent artifacts and often introduce large latency overheads. We propose two simple modules that combine to solve these issues. We introduce a Frequency Modulation (FM) module that leverages the Fourier domain to improve the global structure consistency, and an Attention Modulation (AM) module which improves the consistency of local texture patterns, a problem largely ignored in prior works. Our method, coined FAM diffusion, can seamlessly integrate into any latent diffusion model and requires no additional training. Extensive qualitative results highlight the effectiveness of our method in addressing structural and local artifacts, while quantitative results show state-of-the-art performance. Also, our method avoids redundant inference tricks for improved consistency such as patch-based or progressive generation, leading to negligible latency overheads.

展开摘要

Despite the unprecedented progress in the field of 3D generation, current systems still often fail to produce high-quality 3D assets that are visually appealing and geometrically and semantically consistent across multiple viewpoints. To effectively assess the quality of the generated 3D data, there is a need for a reliable 3D evaluation tool. Unfortunately, existing 3D evaluation metrics often overlook the geometric quality of generated assets or merely rely on black-box multimodal large language models for coarse assessment. In this paper, we introduce Eval3D, a fine-grained, interpretable evaluation tool that can faithfully evaluate the quality of generated 3D assets based on various distinct yet complementary criteria. Our key observation is that many desired properties of 3D generation, such as semantic and geometric consistency, can be effectively captured by measuring the consistency among various foundation models and tools. We thus leverage a diverse set of models and tools as probes to evaluate the inconsistency of generated 3D assets across different aspects. Compared to prior work, Eval3D provides pixel-wise measurement, enables accurate 3D spatial feedback, and aligns more closely with human judgments. We comprehensively evaluate existing 3D generation models using Eval3D and highlight the limitations and challenges of current models.

展开摘要

Few-shot Class-Incremental Learning (FSCIL) challenges models to adapt to new classes with limited samples, presenting greater difficulties than traditional classincremental learning. While existing approaches rely heavily on visual models and require additional training during base or incremental phases, we propose a training-free framework that leverages pre-trained visual-language models like CLIP. At the core of our approach is a novel Bilevel Modality Calibration (BiMC) strategy. Our framework initially performs intra-modal calibration, combining LLM-generated fine-grained category descriptions with visual prototypes from the base session to achieve precise classifier estimation. This is further complemented by inter-modal calibration that fuses pre-trained linguistic knowledge with task-specific visual priors to mitigate modality-specific biases. To enhance prediction robustness, we introduce additional metrics and strategies that maximize the utilization of limited data. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms existing methods. Code is available at: https://github.com/yychen016/BiMC.

Enhancing Creative Generation on Stable Diffusion-based Models

展开摘要

Recent text-to-image generative models, particularly Stable Diffusion and its distilled variants, have achieved impressive fidelity and strong text-image alignment. However, their creative generation capacity remains limited, as simply adding the term "creative" to prompts often fails to yield genuinely creative results. In this paper, we introduce C3 (Creative Concept Catalyst), a training-free approach designed to enhance creativity in Stable Diffusion-based models. C3 selectively amplifies features during the denoising process to foster more creative outputs. We offer practical guidelines for choosing amplification factors based on two main aspects of creativity. C3 allows user-friendly creativity control in image generation and is the first study to enhance creativity in diffusion models without extensive computational costs. We demonstrate its effectiveness across various Stable Diffusion-based models. Source codes will be publicly available.

展开摘要

Automated radiology report generation offers an effective solution to alleviate radiologists' workload. However, most existing methods focus primarily on single or fixed-view images to model current disease conditions, which limits diagnostic accuracy and overlooks disease progression. Although some approaches utilize longitudinal data to track disease progression, they still rely on single images to analyze current visits. To address these issues, we propose enhanced contrastive learning with Multi-view Longitudinal data to facilitate chest X-ray Report Generation, named MLRG. Specifically, we introduce a multi-view longitudinal contrastive learning method that integrates spatial information from current multi-view images and temporal information from longitudinal data. This method also utilizes the inherent spatiotemporal information of radiology reports to supervise the pre-training of visual and textual representations. Subsequently, we present a tokenized absence encoding technique to flexibly handle missing patient-specific prior knowledge, allowing the model to produce more accurate radiology reports based on available prior knowledge. Extensive experiments on MIMIC-CXR, MIMIC-ABN, and Two-view CXR datasets demonstrate that our MLRG outperforms recent state-of-the-art methods, achieving a 2.3% BLEU-4 improvement on MIMIC-CXR, a 5.5% F1 score improvement on MIMIC-ABN, and a 2.7% F1 RadGraph improvement on Two-view CXR.

Empowering LLMs to Understand and Generate Complex Vector Graphics

展开摘要

The unprecedented advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) have profoundly impacted natural language processing but have yet to fully embrace the realm of scalable vector graphics (SVG) generation. While LLMs encode partial knowledge of SVG data from web pages during training, recent findings suggest that semantically ambiguous and tokenized representations within LLMs may result in hallucinations in vector primitive predictions. Additionally, LLM training typically lacks modeling and understanding of the rendering sequence of vector paths, which can lead to occlusion between output vector primitives. In this paper, we present LLM4SVG, an initial yet substantial step toward bridging this gap by enabling LLMs to better understand and generate vector graphics. LLM4SVG facilitates a deeper understanding of SVG components through learnable semantic tokens, which precisely encode these tokens and their corresponding properties to generate semantically aligned SVG outputs. Using a series of learnable semantic tokens, a structured dataset for instruction following is developed to support comprehension and generation across two primary tasks. Our method introduces a modular architecture to existing large language models, integrating semantic tags, vector instruction encoders, fine-tuned commands, and powerful LLMs to tightly combine geometric, appearance, and language information. To overcome the scarcity of SVG-text instruction data, we developed an automated data generation pipeline that collected our SVGX-SFT Dataset, consisting of high-quality human-designed SVGs and 580k SVG instruction following data specifically crafted for LLM training, which facilitated the adoption of the supervised fine-tuning strategy popular in LLM development. By exploring various training strategies, we developed LLM4SVG, which significantly moves beyond optimized rendering-based approaches and language-model-based baselines to achieve remarkable results in human evaluation tasks. Code, model, and data will be released at: https://ximinng.github.io/LLM4SVGProject/

EditAR: Unified Conditional Generation with Autoregressive Models

Jiteng Mu, Nuno Vasconcelos, Xiaolong Wang

展开摘要

Recent progress in controllable image generation and editing is largely driven by diffusion-based methods. Although diffusion models perform exceptionally well in specific tasks with tailored designs, establishing a unified model is still challenging. In contrast, autoregressive models inherently feature a unified tokenized representation, which simplifies the creation of a single foundational model for various tasks. In this work, we propose EditAR, a single unified autoregressive framework for a variety of conditional image generation tasks, e.g., image editing, depth-to-image, edge-to-image, segmentation-to-image. The model takes both images and instructions as inputs, and predicts the edited images tokens in a vanilla next-token paradigm. To enhance the text-to-image alignment, we further propose to distill the knowledge from foundation models into the autoregressive modeling process. We evaluate its effectiveness across diverse tasks on established benchmarks, showing competitive performance to various state-of-the-art task-specific methods.

展开摘要

In clinical practice of echocardiography examinations, multiple planes containing the heart structures of different view are usually required in screening, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. AI models for echocardiography have to be tailored for a specific plane due to the dramatic structure differences, thus resulting in repetition development and extra complexity. Effective solution for such a multi-plane segmentation (MPS) problem is highly demanded for medical images, yet has not been well investigated. In this paper, we propose a novel solution, EchoONE, for this problem with a SAM-based segmentation architecture, a prior-composable mask learning (PC-Mask) module for semantic-aware dense prompt generation, and a learnable CNN-branch with a simple yet effective local feature fusion and adaption (LFFA) module for SAM adapting. We extensively evaluated our method on multiple internal and external echocardiography datasets, and achieved consistently state-of-the-art performance for multi-source datasets with different heart planes. This is the first time that the MPS problem is solved in one model for echocardiography data. The code will be available at https://github.com/a2502503/EchoONE.
